In the name of Science!, I was collecting cores of mud from the deep sea and measure various chemical signatures that are associated with the degradation of organic matter and the transport of Carbon from the river plume to the deep ocean. The following occurred in July 2012 aboard a research boat heading to the Amazon River Plume.

We're back in Bridgetown, Barbados, and doing the final loading of boxes and equipment into our shipping container, and then it's time to hit the town and find a bar. To say nothing of the fact that it's before noon on Sunday. This is perfectly normal. ;)
