A Little Mud, a Lot of Science

In the name of Science!, I was collecting cores of mud from the deep sea and measure various chemical signatures that are associated with the degradation of organic matter and the transport of Carbon from the river plume to the deep ocean. The following occurred in July 2012 aboard a research boat heading to the Amazon River Plume.
